I can't believe our baby is a year old today! How fast time flies! I got all teary-eyed last night with Brian talking about Avery's birthday today. I don't know why. Maybe other mom's can explain it to me. I feel like she isn't a "baby" anymore. Even though she still looks like it without hair and a partial tooth coming in this past week. I can't believe how lucky I have been able to stay at home watching her grow and become this little person. I can not imagine our life without her and I am sure Brian feels the same way. She has brought so much joy and smiles to our home and I don't think I ever thought motherhood would be this rewarding or this fulfilling. I am grateful for those quiet moments shared with each other. I melt now when she walks up to Brian or I and wraps her arms around our legs. She is still a snugly baby who loves to be loved on. Brian's mom told her from in utero that she wanted her to be a snugly baby, I think she got her wish! She is so friendly, lets anyone hold her, smiles and giggles and growls all day long. She brings such sunshine into our lives. Brian and I are lucky she chose us to be her parents! We love you Avery! Happy Birthday! I will post some cake pics from tonight later this week!
