Steam Roller!

Avery wants to crawl soo bad! She just scoots backwards or if she needs to get something or wants to go somewhere she just rolls there! She is our little STEAM ROLLER! She is getting so big.

Does anyone besides me watch the show on MTV Sweet 16? I find that these kids need to get a job or a good kick in the rear! The last show I saw, a 16 girl got a 6 door Hummer? Now tell me why on earth a 16 year old would need a 6 door hummer...?? Is she going to open up a limo service? She had the nerve to ask the salesperson if they could put a vending machine in the back of the hummer! The car guy said that with all the up grades the hummer cost 125,000! The spoiled little girl then had the guts to comment...thats a down payment on a house! Her father also bought her a 20,000 rolex watch and then proceeded to ask if she could shower in it. Why are people so stupid, I would like to know what her father does for a living and where all the money comes from...maybe I am just naive or am the stupid one. Later after the show there was a update and she was saying how the 6 door hummer was just TOO big to drive so she got a range rover instead. I wonder why on earth she or her parents thought a 6 door hummer would drive like a miata in the first place? This girl is in for a real awakening when she enters into the real world! Here I am driving a honda civic and 16 year olds are getting brand new luxary vehicles..bitter yes!

Things that make me smile:)

Last night I was sitting on the bed feeding Avery and I was overcome with emotions..I can't believe how big she has gotten and she is no longer a "little baby"...The saying "to enjoy them now because they grow up so fast" is so true! Don't get me wrong, I love her just as much now as I did when she was born. I am just sad that she is growing up so darn fast.

NOTHING better than Sunday afternoon naps with Daddy! How precious is that!

I love this pic! Avery adores..I mean adores her daddy. I get all sad because when he leaves the room she gets all sad and tearful, but NOPE not a tear for mom! I guess she is getting enough of seeing me all day. She lights up when her daddy gets home and to see how much my husband lights up when he sees his girls is just as special!

Avery is learning how the binky works! It is cute to see her put her binky in her mouth, take it out, put it in..and some of the times its sideways or upside down. I don't see how she sucks on it upside down or sideways..but she does and she knows where her binky is at all times. At night we will check on her and she will be out cold with one hand glued on to the binky! I hope we won't have trouble getting rid of it in a few months! I don't want one of those little kids with their teeth growing around the bink! WON"T happen!

Tender Moments

Why can't a tv commercial be just that, a commercial. Entertaining, meant to make someone laugh and thats it. I watched the superbowl and Brian and I both saw the Snickers commercial with the two men kissing...a Lady and the Tramp moment with a snickers bar. We both laughed, thought it was cute and remember the commercial and that it was a snickers commercial. But now the ad has been pulled from the tv and the gay and lesbian rights have gotten involved d/t the homophobic undertones from it. I have a problem with everything being turned into a gay or straight issue, a race issue or whatever it may be. I do agree that some of the things people say shouldn't be said or words they use shouldn't be used, but why can't people just take it for the laugh that it was meant to be. Brian and I never thought about the "gay" look of the ad, if anything it made men laugh at themselves! I liked the commercial and I think its about time that people stopped looking for controversy and enjoy life! I might be hypocritical after the fact of writing about Prince..but I will step off my soapbox now.
On to better things...Avery. I can't believe she is almost 7 months old! I was talking to Brian about how I miss the "baby"ness of her but I am enjoying watching her grow and learn and do new things everyday. She has learned to bounce up and down in her excersaucer. I get a kick out of watching her giggle and enjoy her surroundings. I love the moment right before she goes down for a nap, she is soo snuggley and lovey, I just want to soak every minute up. I am so grateful and thankful that I have had this opportunity to stay home with her. I am so thankful for the moments I have with her and all these new milestones she is hitting. I only wish Brian could be here with us too and that we would still get a paycheck:)

Superbowl Sunday..

How on earth can any woman marry Prince? There is no way on earth that he is a straight man. I am watching the halftime performance and just waiting for his makeup to run. I was telling Brian during the game that I bet he performs with an umbrella so he doesn't get rained on. Brian's response, "He is a professional!" Yah right, he is getting paid millions to perform thats why he is standing out there getting soaked. I hope he is wearing his waterproof mascera! Whats with the do-rag? The end of one of his songs..."Im not a fool.." Yah, you are! You chose a bad plastic surgeon.! Ok enough bashing Prince and his purple rain, on to the more uplifting...
Today was such a wonderful sabbath. The people in our branch our so humble and really want and desire to be faithful members of the church and they have such strong testimonies of the gospel. I was deeply touched today listening to some of them today. I rcvd a calling today, Relief Society Enrichment Leader! For the past two years I as on the enrichment board, so I am up for the opportunity to serve and learn more about the sisters in our branch. Today I learned that there are 87 active, semi active, less active sisters taht we at least have currect membership records for, there are 297 sisters on the churchh records that their records need to be updated. there is such a need for fellowship in this branch, I am excited for the opportunity to see and hopefully help the branch grow and strengthen.
