Absolutely THE Best Yet!
Sour Cream Banana Bread
1/2 c butter
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c mashed bananas (about 3 bananas)
1/2 c nuts
1/2 c sour cream
Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, then bananas, nuts and sour cream. (Mix together by hand, makes the bread more dense!) Poor in greased loaf pan. Cook at 350 for 1 hour.
**** Helpful hints**** I doubled the recipe to make 2 loaf pans. I also cooked it at 350 for 30 mins and then covered with tin foil and cooked for 30-40 more mins to keep the tops from getting tooo brown. I don't like crunchy banana bread. I also live in a higher altitude, so adjust to where you live and just poke with toothpick to check for doneness (if that is even a word).

We Are a Happy Family!
At, least for now! This past week has been very trying for all members of our family. I FINALLY cut the umbilical cord with Delaney. She is almost 15 months and she had not self weaned from nursing, so I decided that it was going to have to be by my doing. I always had thought that she would wean from me, hoping it would of been a lot sooner than now, but it didn't work out that way. She was only nursing morning, naps and before bed. But, I was getting to the point where I wasn't enjoying it anymore and hadn't for a while. I was ALL touched out and wanted my body back! So, Friday we ended it. And, when I say we, I mean, I!
It was a rough couple of days at our house. I am so glad it was a 4 day weekend for my dear husband so that he could distract her. There were many times when the crying was so rough, I was thinking about giving in. But, I didn't and tomorrow will be a full week! Our home is now a happy home. The saying is so true, "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"

First Year Pictures!

A couple months late but here they are. The photo shoot was a nightmare, but I think they turned out cute. She wasn't having any of it and after we changed in the tutu outfit, she was done. I had to get the tutu pics, all the work I did to make the onesie and tutu, she was not going to win that battle! So, to make us both happy, I am covered w/ a white sheet holding her!! Little stinker!

Jammin' in the Car, Playin' in the Park!
I got a cute video of D bug jamming out to a Taylor Swift song! She is just like her sister, loves music! The weather has been absolutely beautiful here,so we have been taking advantage of it and going to the park as often as possible. Avery would live on the swings if my pushing arms would allow it!

Really, Brian, really?
Delaney seems to fall asleep quite often in her high chair. It is fine with me, just as long as she gets a nap! Ha!
She had her 1 year check up (almost 2 months late) yesterday. We think she might have some food allergies and plan on taking her to an allergist to get some allergy testing done. But besides that, she is perfect. She is sleeping through the night, doing great with her sippy cup, and pratically running around me in circles! She is still nursing two-three times a day, but we are working on cuting that out completely.
Her stats: 31.5 inches long and 21.9 lbs! She is a tall girl.
Avery was sitting by me the other day and we were reading "Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom!" and she said, "You my best friend.". I questioned her (to make sure I heard her right) who was her best friend and she says, "Mommy! You my best friend. I'm your baby."!
She sure does know how to melt my heart and forget about all the grief she gives me! Last night I came home from taking Delaney to her well check and Avery met me at the door in her undies. She had colored with a bright pink sharpie marker all over herself. When I questioned Brian how she got a hold of the Sharpie, Brian said that he let her color (in a matter of fact tone, like I didn't get it). Really, Brian, a PERMANENT marker. Couldn't you of given her a crayon??
