Averyisms

Some funny things Avery has been saying lately!

A couple of weeks ago I got a call from a friend whose daughter was helping out in nursery that Sunday. She said that Avery said the prayer and 3 times, T-H-R-E-E, said, "Please, bless daddy to find a new wife!" My friend wanted to make sure everything was ok with Brian and I! I could not stop laughing!

Editors Note: I have never heard Brian wish for a new wife, there are times that I think it, now with me working I could really use a second wife around here:)

When my parents were up here during Christmas visiting, Brian, my dad and the girls were driving to have lunch one afternoon and they passed Home Depot and Avery yells out, "Look at all those freakin' stores!" Needless to say we are both working on being better with what the words we thought were OK to say, but don't sound so good coming out of a 3 year olds mouth!

The other night I had the girls in the bath tub and Avery asks if she can lay on her tummy and swim and she says, "It's ok mom, I am part dolphin."

I took Avery and her little friend to see Princess and the Frog, which I thought was a little too much for two 3 year olds (but that is besides the point), and Avery kept asking her friend, "What are you going to be for Christmas? I am going to be a black kitty!" She was having a hard time grasping the concept that we don't get to dress up for each holiday! That poor little girl probably went home and asked her mom what she was going to be for Christmas.

I was asleep on the couch after work one morning and Brian was getting the girls out of their room when they woke up. I heard Avery say, "Good morning, Big Daddy. What are we going to do today!" she then comes to the living room and finds me asleep and says, "Good morning, Little Momma! Did you sleep well sweetheart?"

She is still really obsessed with car washes. Everyday, several times a day, she will ask what Color my car wash is and if I have a pink car wash?

One not so nice habit, picking her nose....The other day I brought it to her attention and asked her why she was picking her nose and to get her finger out of her nose. I then questioned her, what was she trying to get out of her nose, and she answers me with, of course, "a car wash!!" Goodness Gracious!

She is a funny girl and keeps her parents laughing! What a joy she is to our family!
