A Funny for Friday

Talk about scary times! I read in the local newspaper that foreclosures in Utah are up 147%, yes one-hundred and forty-seven percent!! When we go to Brian's parents in Draper, we pass by a subdivision that was finished building when we moved here LAST year and not ONE has been sold. They are probably 350,000 dollar homes, about 9 of them that have been sitting completed, but empty for over a year. A couple of weeks ago I heard about a home that was auctioned off in Draper, a 1.2 million dollar home sold off for 600,000 dollars.
In other news, our home has been hit with the horrible cold. My baby's cough is something you should never hear from a 7 month old. She sounds like she has been smoking 2 pack of cigarettes a day for 50 years, horrible. I have a cough that will wake up the neighborhood and who would of thought one person could produce soo much snot. I know, not a pleasant thought..but it hasn't been a very pleasant couple of days. I wanted to take the girls to a corn belly maze this weekend, but it looks like I will be doing more of the same, lying on the couch coughing my lungs out and blowing my nose. I have resorted to using baby wipes to blow my nose with, my poor nose was starting to think about removing itself from my body, wipes have helped soothe!
I also wanted to spread some holiday cheer, or help bring in fall with these yummy cookies! I remember Morgan making something similar but she said she makes it differently, so I found these. They are so good, quick and easy!
Pumpkin Spice Cookies
1 box Spice cake mix---just the mix
1 15oz can of Pumpkin
Mix til well blended and drop by the tablespoon onto greased cookie sheet. Cook at 350 for 10 mins. (check them, due to higher altitude here they might cook shorter/longer).
While still warm, drizzle with soften cream cheese frosting!
OTHER alternatives....add chocolate chips and/or walnuts to the mix...Very good, just leave off cream cheese frosting.
Trust me, these little cookies will NOT disappoint. Just go and try them will ya!
