Today, was Avery's first
Primary Presentation. I was so
excited for her. She was a little
hesitant at first and daddy
had to walk her up to the
stage.
She didn't stand up at first
when they sang the songs, but
after the first few she
participated with the others.
We
have been practicing the line
she was supposed to say for a
few weeks now and
she had it memorized perfectly.
I was surprised to hear when
she stood up at the pulpit that
she had to look at the
teacher, because they had her
saying a totally different line. I
was disappointed for Avery
because she did have
the line they gave us
memorized, but she did super
anyway! I can't believe how
grown up she is. She is so
smart
and so bright.

Please let me introduce you to
a new member of our family.
Barbie, the Mermaid. I never
thought this day would
happen. I am NOT a Barbie fan
and was hoping my girls would
never get into it.
But, it happened. It was out of
my hands. Last week I had a
doctors appointment and
Delaney fell in love with this
monster truck that was in the
waiting room toys. She would
not give it back. I asked the
receptionist what I could
pay for the truck and she kindly
said that it was her son's at
one
point and that she could have
it.
If I knew then how
many fights would happen
because of that truck, I would
of
never asked. I told Avery that I
would get her a monster
truck next time we were at the
store. She quickly responded
back with, "well, how bout a
Barbie instead?" I was
shocked because I honestly
didn't think she knew what a
Barbie was.
So, long story short, Avery now
is the proud owner of a new
Barbie. Delaney is now a
proud
new owner of a small toy
four wheeler. Brian loved that
Delaney picked out a
"non-girly" toy over a Barbie!
Avery sleeps with her Barbie,
swings on the swing with
Barbie. I have to admit it is fun
to watch her
take such good care of
something that is "just hers".
She even shares with Delaney.
