We attended our first Idaho Rodeo! YEEHAAW! I guess that means we are Idaho-ans now.
Let me tell ya, it was something to be seen.
Friday night we went to watch Pig Wrestling. And no, it is not two pigs wrestling against each other (and yes, that is what I was picturing in my mind)...it was groups of people trying to catch a slippery pig. The young and old. It was absolutely hilarious. I have never seen such a sight.
Saturday we went and watched the Demolition Derby. I.loved.every.minute! It was like seeing a bad car accident and you couldn't keep your eyes off of it. Cars crashing into one another at full speed, loud noises and cars catching on fire. The girls loved it. Avery talked about it for days....and I have to admit, so did I!
Between the final cars going at it, we watched the ATV races. There was 16 ATV's with 2 people per wheeler. The person on the back had a balloon taped to their helmet. That person also was holding one of those pool noodles with duct tape taped around the end a few times. The object was for the people to drive around in circles and try to pop the other's balloon. Seriously, it was like watching human whack-a-mole! Who thinks up this stuff? Really, only in Idaho where every house has an ATV. Someone must of been really drunk or between potato harvesting!
Pig wrestling!
Avery, loving every minute!
See the smoke?!
Avery- our beautiful little butterfly!

Wow, Lauren... this post totally made me chuckle. What an interesting time! And it will probably become a fun family tradition.
Next year you should totally sing up to do the pig wrestling.
