I like to watch Oprah! I know there are a lot of people out there that think Oprah is the devil. I don't always agree with her shows, but I do like to watch her every now and then. No TiVo or buying of the 20year anniversary DVD of her either, just to enjoy some of peoples life experiences. But today, I really enjoyed her show. It was on mothers around the world. I teared up watching it (remember I did just have a baby so my hormones are still imbalanced). As I was watching the different women in different countries, I became very overwhelmed with how strong women all over the world are. When it comes to raising children, (most) women will do whatever it takes to raise them. Some women were working 6 days a week and earning 1600 dollars a year! A year! , some women were climbing up mountains with loads and loads of goods for 40cents and taking care of 10 kids, not only were they her kids but her 2 brothers kids as well. The over all message that I learned is that no matter how much you make, what language you speak, or where you live, each of these women love their children with all their hearts. They would die for them in order to protect them and break their backs to make a better life for them. One lady is taking care of 40 kids that were orphaned by parents with AIDs, some of the children have AIDs, but one lady is taking care of them and teaching them how to grow up to be respectful, contributing members of society. What a woman! Love, it is the universal language.
