Sprains, Trains, and Automobiles!

This past weekend the family set off on the first roadtrip as a family of four! Brian's brother, Chauncy graduated from University of Wyoming with his Masters in Public Administration on Saturday, so we went to congratulate him. The trip up was good, both girls did well. We spent the weekend hanging out with family and eating way too much food, good food. The graduation ceremony was rough for Brian and I. Avery just did not want to be there, she kept kicking the people in front of us, throwing her bink under the seats of the same people in front of us, yelling out for her baba (which we didn't bring) and going between mom and dad's lap. Finally, she fell asleep on my lap til the ceremony was over! Sunday as we were starting to leave, Avery took a pretty hard fall while playing outside. We thought she was ok until we were outside of Laramie and she hadn't calmed down. She wasn't using her left arm and would fall asleep and hit her left shoulder with her head and make a wimper. To make a long story short, she sprained her arm pretty good and is now in a splint and ace bandage until Wed with a snoopy sling. Her poor fingers are swollen like little sausages. We thought having one arm would slow her down, but after her trip to urgent care she was trying to jump on the bed! We need to put Avery in a plastic bubble so she can't hurt herself anymore. This parenting thing is tough!
