Where does it go?

Time? Why does it go by all so fast. Delaney had her 9 month appt today. I can't believe she is that old already! I love watching her grow but at the same time I miss my little baby.

She is 18 lbs and 29 1/4 inches long. The nurse didn't give me her percentages this time, but the ped says she is following her growth curve perfectly. She is perfect. She is long (tall) just like her sister. Today we had a doctor appt for Brian and a woman in the lobby remarked that Avery looked like a 5 year old because she was so tall. She was shocked when I told her she wasn't even 2 and 1/2 yet!

She is rolling all over the place, she prefers to roll to her destination or toy of choice. She is trying to crawl, I think it will be any day now. She is doing the army scoot right now and is pulling up on anything that she can grab to pull herself up on. She is playing peek a boo with her bumper pad in her crib and watches from her "jail" to see if/when anyone is coming to rescue her.

She is loving baby food but is still loving mama, too. Her pedi asked if I had thought about weaning her. I told him I thought about it A LONG time ago, but until she takes a bottle or has gotten better with the sippy cup, there isn't much I can do. I feel that if we can make it 3 more months nursing then we can move to milk and we won't have to deal with the added mess of bottles and extra expense of formula. We will see if I can.

She loves her sister and gives her the biggest kisses and squeals when she dances for her. I love to watch the bond they have already formed. When Avery is sad or upset after temper tantrums, she always goes to Delaney and gives her a hug and tells her "sorry Bug".

We love our Bug and have enjoyed every ounce of her. But one request....slow it down with the growing up...it's happening all way too fast!
