Jamma Time

I was able to get a few cute pics after their bath.

Delaney has been walking for a while now. She all of a sudden got the walking thing down right after her first birthday and hasn't slowed down since. It still weirds me out seeing her walk around. She is so bow legged, it looks like she just got off a long horse ride. She has finally got the sippy cup down and drinking milk and water out of it like a pro. We are currently trying to wean her from nursing and it has been a struggle. We are down to only morning, noon and night. I wish she would just be done with it because it is soooooooo hard for me to listen to her cry and cry when she wants nothing but me. I am trying to suck it up and get tough and I keep telling myself that each day she is getting better and better and it will not last forever!

She is talking more and more, not that we understand a word she says, but it is still cute to listen to. She is a good little eater and is basically eating everything we are eat. I told Brian tonight that I really do love this age. The other day I heard a loud thump and went in and found her in the bathtub. She has figured out how to get into the bathtub. It didn't bother her a bit, she was playing with her bath letters! She loves her sister and gives her hugs and kisses but at the same time will push her away when Avery gets a little too lovey.

Avery is growing right out of the toddler stage. She is such a fun little girl, so full of energy. She has been taking a dance class for a couple of months and loves to "shake her hips". One of her favorite things is to listen to the music channel and dance around the living room. Delaney has become quite the diaper shaker as well.

Some of the things Avery has been saying amaze me. She is such a smart little girl. She LOVES (obsessed is more like it) David Archuleta. She can hear the first couple beats of his songs and she screams out "YA, YA"! There is a part in his song that sounds like that and so she has labeled him as that. She also knows the President by sight on television and magazine covers. I can't mimic how she says Barack Obama, but it is too funny. The other day we were playing "tickle monster" on floor when she laid down next to me and said, "I love you, Mommy!" It was the sweetest thing to hear, it brought a tear to my eye. She will say, I love you too when initiated, but never on her own. I wanted time to stand still at that moment! It was so precious. Another funny thing she will say when I am getting dressed and put on my bra, she will say, "Mom, put your boobs on?" I get a good laugh. I guess I only have boobs when I put on my bra! haha! She makes me laugh.

It is nice to see your kids act the same as mine. I am always wondering when this pushing stage will be over for Shelby.
