The Geyser in town. The girls call it the Ooeey Gooey Geyser. It explodes into the sky at the top of the hour every hour. The girls love to watch it. It is the "main" attraction in town. and I am not even kidding.
The amazing view off our deck. We are blessed to live on a hill so no one can block our view. It is absolutely gorgeous. We live on a 1 acre lot, so the girls have lots of room to run around. After living in apartments for all our married life, this is a HUGE blessing to have. The other night, I had Avery running wind sprints (basically from the top of the deck all the way down the hill to the swing set) over and over again! Great way to work out some of her energy and a sure way she will go to bed on time that night:)
This is our new home. We were/are very fortunate to have found this home. Soda Springs or as Avery likes to call it, Radiator Springs, isn't the "rental" community. They have a few apartments that are very old and small. A local real estate agent told me about this house coming up for rent, which is why I was in Texas, so we waited to get into it. It is cheaper than our 2 bedroom apt in Sandy and easily 3 times larger! Score! We have had a few issues with the house since moving in (which I will not bore you with), but the owners are coming at the beginning of Sept. (they live in Hawaii) to fix a few things that are in desperate need of repair. For a town of 3,300 people, they have over 120 homes for sale right now. We don't know how long Brian will be working at this current mine, which is one of the main reasons we didn't buy a house. Also, with so many homes for sale in the area, we were afraid of not being to unload a home if we were to be transferred. We are grateful to have an actual house to live in! There is 6 wards and a stake here and we are enjoying our little ward here. A sweet neighbor today brought us some raspberries from her garden. We look forward to enjoying our next chapter of our journey here!
