Another THE BEST!

I found this blog, Moments to Live By, from a friend on facebook sharing a great FHE lesson. The lesson is on Honesty. I did the lesson for FHE one night, because we have needed a lesson on honesty in our home. Lately, Avery has been telling some whopper of stories. Not to just us, but to her primary class, her grandparents, and well basically to anyone who will listen to her! She has such a vivid imagination.
When we were in Texas visiting my parents, she told the primary during sharing time that her "daddy went down the drain and died and that the doctors couldn't fix him". Later, after the primary counselor had told my mom of the "story" she was telling them my mom asked her why she was saying the things she was saying. Her reason, "my daddy is a witch". I was really disturbed by this, why I am not too sure. Maybe afraid of her telling stories to people and them actually believing her. I think I have realized that this certain story came as a result of watching "Enchanted". If you haven't seen it, there is a witch that goes down a drain hole and dies at the end. Who knows?

So, back to what I was talking about. This blog has some great FHE lessons, but I found these yummy cookies on there! I am always looking for the better chocolate chip cookie. I think I found it! The strange ingredient, vanilla pudding mix. It makes cakes nice and moist, so why not a cookie?!

Next time you are in the mood for chocolate chip cookies, remember this recipe! It will not fail you. Well, it might fail your waist line:) I bet you can't eat just one! My girls were literally in tears because they wanted another one!!

THE BEST HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES...EVER
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1tsp baking soda
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup softened butter (I use real butter)
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1-5 oz package vanilla instant pudding mix (JELLO brand)
Chocolate Chips (milk or semisweet, I like semisweet)

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. In a separate bowl mix pudding mix, soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. Add flour bit by bit until texture is right (You should be able to roll dough into a ball in your hands. If it is too sticky, add more flour.) Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees on an un-greased cookie sheet until edges are just browning (12-14 minutes depending on you oven and your elevation)
