Heres to another year!

It has been a while since I last blogged...a lot has happened in the last couple of weeks. One major event is the family moving to Laredo Texas and Brian starting his new job. That has been exciting for us. Going into the fourth week of being here we find ourselves with a few more boxes to unpack or throw away, we aren't too sure what we want to do with the "stuff" yet. We are enjoying are branch here in Laredo, the people are soo friendly and welcoming. Our apt is nice, brand new which is an added bonus. We aren't use to living on top of people and having people live behind and besides us, so we are getting use to the noise levels of each of those apts. I think we did an awesome job picking these apts, after all we did find them on the Internet! We feel safe, the neighborhood is tucked back into a new housing development which makes us feel a little bit better. We are getting accustomed to the drivers and the overly crowded stores. Most stores we have been in, it seems like an overly packed dollar general with all of the merchandise thrown about on the shelves. Brian and I get very overwhelmed and claustrophobic when attempting to go shopping at some of the stores here. But the good news is Brian likes his job and is learning fast. I now know what it is like having a working husband. I miss him more now, when he was in school I was so spoiled having had the opportunity to see and spend a lot more time together.
Christmas came and went for the Johnson family, first Christmas for Avery. She got an exersaucer from "santa". She loves it, we should of gotten her one sooner! It sure does give mommy a break for a moment at a time during the day. We were able to spend Christmas with my family in Kerrville, it was nothing but exciting! The whole family minus Daniel and his family were in town and we all stayed under one roof...its amazing how we all grew up in that house and we didn't end up killing each other. It was soo much fun, time goes by so fast. I wish we all lived closer, we can play more Chickie feet as my mom calls it!
Brian and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary! It seems like just yesterday we were just getting married. I told Brian that I want to go back to our wedding night hotel in a few years. We stayed at the hotel Monaco in SLC in the presidential suite. The most beautiful hotel suite I have stayed in ever! They also have a program there where you can "adopt" a fish for your stay. They will leave a goldfish in your room and they will come and feed it for you and everything. I am sure those goldfishes have seen more than those little fishys have ever wanted to see..poor things! We didn't really do anything this anniversary, we were broke this year, but we were able to spend it with family which is priceless. I love you Brian! To the next 2 years and many more after that. I will post some of the pics from the last few weeks! enjoy
